In December 2007, I made the decision to stop trying to find a traditional publisher for my fantasy novel trilogy, The Pearlsong Refounding, and just publish the books myself. Within a week of making that decision, I was contacted by Josh Tilton, a terrific graphic artist, book cover designer and web designer (yes, ALL that and more!) who offered his expertise to design new covers for the books and create a website to help sell them online. And all this, if you can believe it, for free. A gift. I was blown away. I didn’t know Josh before he contacted me. He had read Gideon’s Dawn (the first book in the series, which was previously published through another publisher), and the story impacted him so much, he just wanted to help. Amazing. So you see the book covers for both novels? That’s Josh’s work. And this website? That’s him too. Awesome.

Thanks to Josh. You’re my hero.

And welcome all to the Pearlsong Refounding website!

Josh Tilton Says:

Michael,

It was nothing short of a blessing for me to work on such a project! I am glad that I had the availability to contribute to Gideon’s story.

Lets hope we see many more people get the opportunity to enjoy the story.

Mike Says:

Thanks to both of you. Gideon’s Dawn was one of the best reads I’ve had and waiting for Waymaker has been painful!

sheri Says:

Wow! I found Gideon’s Dawn on a sale table years ago and have been waiting for the “rest of the story” ever since! You are an amazing writer with a gift for putting spiritual truth down on paper. Congratulations Michael, and thank you from all of us!

Kathryn Tilton Says:

Josh Tilton is my hero too. I am so proud he is MY Son! What a blessing he is.

David Banks Says:

Wow! Waymaker was worth the wait! Any idea when the next book will be out?

Andrew Graziano Says:

I read your first book when it came out in 2003. Honestly I never thought you would finish the series. I was so excited to find on amazon that you had finished Waymaker and so were my friends who I was able to wrangel into my little “sounden.” Your books and the heart behind them are palpable in the words and pages. Thank you for doing what you do.

PS please don’t take six years to finish “The Word Within” I don’t have that much patience :)

Terri Says:

Will the third and final book ever be released or will it be released later this year or next year?

Michael Warden Says:

thanks Andrew. I feel your pain for having to wait so long, and appreciate your patience! For me, it’s a constant battle to find the time to write and make a living at the same time. But though I may be slow, I am determined to follow this dream all the way to the finish line. :)

I’m making an announcement today that may encourage you. Check out today’s entry (8-21-09) on my Pearlsong Blog. Godspeed—Michael

Beth Says:

God bless you both!
